Summary: Carly writes a song after Freddie breaks up with her and comes to a realization.

	Kissin U

**Listening to Miranda Cosgrove's "Kissin U" inspired me to write this little story.**

* * *

The dark Seattle sky poured tiny raindrops outside Bushwell Plaza. Carly Shay just finished playing the violin in the iCarly studio before sitting in a red beanbag. Weather like this inspired her to write in her journal. Oddly, she felt the need to write a song, but what kind of song cold that be? She closed her eyes and thought of all the important constants in her life. One person stood out from all the rest. That person would be Freddie Benson. Her former boyfriend.

Recently, Freddie broke up with Carly, because he felt that he was just "bacon." Foreign bacon to be more specific. Freddie's words lingered in Carly's brain ever since that night.

_"You love what I did. You love that I risked my life to save yours, but I don't think you're in love with me. You just think you are."_

Those words hurt Carly. After finally proclaiming her love, Freddie didn't believe her. However, who could blame him after all the times Carly rejected him? While Freddie's words hurt Carly failed to step up to the plate and tell him that he wasn't just foreign bacon to her. So here Carly stood: no boyfriend to love and kiss at night. She sighed and started to write what came to mind.

**Sparks fly, it's like electricity. **
**I might die when I forget how to breathe. **
**You get closer and there's no where in this world I'd rather be. **
**Time stops like everything around me is frozen, **
**and nothin' matters but these few moments, **
**when you open my mind to things I've never seen. **

Carly placed her pen down on her journal and thought back to her and Freddie's first kiss in his bedroom. Once their lips touched for the first time her mind lost all sense of time. His lips were so soft and gentle and...loving. No guy Carly kissed before made her feel this way. Not even Griffin. Carly smiled and picked up her pen and started writing again.

**'Cause when I'm kissin' you my senses come alive. **
**Almost like the puzzle piece I've been tryin' to find, **
**falls right into place, you're all that it takes, **
**my doubts fade away when I'm kissin' you. **
**When I'm kissin' you it all starts makin' sense, **
**and all the questions I've been asking in my head, **
**like, Are you the one? Should I really trust? **
**Crystal clear it becomes when I'm kissin' you. **

Her pen continued to write what became a love song until Carly came to a realization. She stopped writing and looked at a certain verse she wrote.

**I've never felt nothing like this. **
**You're makin' me open up. **
**No point even tryin' to fight this, **
**it kinda feels like it's looooove. **

Carly was truely in love with Freddie. She ripped out the page out of her journal, folded it up and walked out of the iCarly studio. She stopped in front of Freddie's door and knocked until he answered.

"Hey Carly", Freddie was now out of his casts, but a slight limp could be detected. Carly didn't respond. She just took Freddie's hand and placed the journal entry into it, kissed him on the cheek and walked back into her apartment.

Freddie unfolded the page and read Carly's song. A special note was at the end of the song.

_This song is directed toward you my darling._

_You are not just foreign bacon to me._

_You are the love of my life._

_I now realised that._

_I love you Freddie. XOXO_

End file.
